Utako Toyama is a multi-award-winning composer, the founder of SkyBridge, and the co-founder of Songs for World Peace. She became the first recipient of the Hiroshima Award in 2022 and was granted an exceptional talent visa in both the U.S. and the UK. Currently based in London, UK.
Her goal is to utilize her maximum potential to contribute to society, leveraging her gifts of leadership and composition. While studying at Berklee College of Music with the support of a scholarship, she founded SkyBridge, a global project band with the aim of promoting diversity, equity, and world peace. SkyBridge achieves this mission by collaborating with musicians from all corners of the globe and engaging the audience in their musical performances, creating unique and unforgettable moments. To date, Toyama has collaborated with musicians from more than 47 countries, including Grammy-awarded artists such as Victor Wooten and Mark Walker as part of SkyBridge. Additionally, she has worked with musicians from over 90 countries through Songs for World Peace.
